Parc Slip – Events

We have a variety of events throughout the year, occasionally these will change but we have some core events that we know you love! We also have seasonal natural crafts that happen during certain times of the year.

Bat & Cake Evenings

An evening exploring the reserve after dark in search of bats! Evening includes craft activities in the centre and get to know bats, we’ll then explore the reserve and end the evening with a hot drink and some cake! Must be booked in advance! £7 per person

Nocturnal Safari

Join us on a nocturnal safari around the reserve in search of Glow Worms! There’ll be other species to see too such as bats, owls and maybe some mammals too. Tickets include a hot drink or juice, biscuits and snacks. Must be booked in advance!
£7 per person.

1st May

Join us for a morning looking and listening for migrant bird species. £10 adult £5 child, tickets includes a hot drink and breakfast roll (meat and veggie options available). 6am start. Must book in advance!

National Dragonfly Week
Dragonfly & Damselfly Identification workshop
6th July

1-4pm. £10 adult, £5 child. Join our experts to learn how to identify our pond dragons, including exuvae and put your new skills to the test in the field with us. Must book in advance!

Teacher Open Evening
1st September

6-8pm. Teachers from any school, home-schoolers and SEN teachers all welcome. Join us to have a go at the school sessions we offer, get to know our staff and have a look at the centre.

Spooktacular Nature Night
29th October

5:30pm start. Join us on a spoooooky night of nature! We’ll explore different nature activities including a bat walk, newt torching and owl listening. There’s also craft and spooky skulls to discover. What’s that rumbling from the reserve? Who’s left these huge footsteps!! Must book in advance!
£10 per child (one adult free per child)

Natural Wreath Making Workshop
4th + 5th December

Make your own door wreath or table centrepiece out of materials found on the reserve. Hot chocolate, tea and snacks are provided! £10 per wreath.
