PHOTOGRAPHY HIDES COMING SOON
Watch wildlife with a difference by renting one of our Photography Hides located at The National Botanic Garden of Wales. Relax, enjoy the wildlife coming to you on several perches in front of the hide including woodpecker posts, old trees and natural landscapes and backgrounds.
What you will need:
If you are thinking about visiting one of our Photography Hides, we ask that you bring a few items with you, we can take care of the rest!
- Thermal cup or mug for your tea and coffee
- Lenses between 300-500mm
- Cold weather clothing, particularly during winter months
- Our insurance for camera and photography equipment (you are not covered for any damages under our insurance)
Meadow Hide
Located in one of the extensive meadows. Our Meadow Hide is focused on species using the woodland fringe and our natural meadow; you may see Woodpeckers, Jay, Stonechats and some mammals too.
Enjoy the tranquility of being surrounded by aging woodland and colourful meadows whilst enjoy some time photographing the wildlife.
Inside of the hide: Inside of our hide you will find indoor shoes should your shoes be muddy from the walk in, refreshments and treats to keep you going, we will also provide you with additional feed should you wish to try something new in your photographs. We want you to enjoy your experience; lens beanbags and comfortable chairs are provided!
Meeting: Our guide will meet you at the Tadorna Wildlife Hub before embarking on our walk to the hide. We will stay with you for half an hour to get you settled and give brief guidance before allowing you to continue your session alone.
Half Day and Full Day sessions are available for maximum of 2 people.
