Spurn Swifts & Scones
Join us for a morning of watching an amazing Swift Spectacle whilst also enjoying some delicious scones with cream-tea.
Event begins at 9am and last for two-three hours.
We currently run this event at Spurn.
Suitable for children and families, and suitable for those with hidden or physical disabilities – we can tailor things to you!
We begin our morning by introducing ourselves and what is instore for us. We’ll be meeting you at the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s Visitor Centre at Spurn and will be walking to the best viewpoint ready to take up position and await the Swifts.
Taking up position, we’ll be awaiting the Common Swifts, to fly overhead, but we’re also likely to see other species moving too such as House Martins and waders, we may even see more unusual species moving through with the Swifts such as Pallid Swift and Alpine Swift although these will be very difficult.
Whilst we enjoy the Swifts, we’ll tuck into our cream-tea boxes.
